OUR MISSION
Buddhist Recovery,
Made Simple
We’re on a mission to change the face of recovery in the United States and Canada. Founded on the belief that Buddhist practices and principles can help anyone, anywhere recover from the suffering of addiction. Our mission is to make Buddhist-inspired practices and principles easily accessible to anyone in need, regardless of income, education or geographical location.
WHAT’S OUR STORY?
(The Short Version)

Walking the Path
BUDDHIST RECOVERY
We were founded by addicts, to help addicts. Buddhist recovery saved our lives, and we believe it can save your life as well. Walking the path of a Buddhist approach to recovery can often be lonely and challenging. It is not an ‘easier softer way’, but instead a path of recovery that requires discipline, effort and a Wise Intention. But you don’t have to walk it alone. The Wise Friends Network is here to help you find your path to recovery.
Exploring the Path
KEEP IT SIMPLE
Driven by the core belief that anyone-anywhere can learn these practices to save themselves from the suffering of addiction, we’re dedicated to ‘Keep It Simple’. We are not empowered Buddhist Dharma teachers, nor do we have any aspirations for that path of practice. We are a community of recovering addicts helping other addicts recover from the suffering of addiction. We are a community of addicts simplifying and advocating for a better approach to recovery from addiction. Leveraging the latest in cognitive behavioral research, self-help neuroscience, and taking a holistic approach to recovery. We’re here to help filter the noise, and share what works.

Deepening The Practice
HELPING OTHERS
It is our hope, aspiration and goal to make Buddhist Recovery practices easily and readily available in every recovery center in the United States and Canada that seeks to provide these services. We understand that modern recovery education often takes more than just a book. It requires new tools, new resources and a new approach. Videos, courses, and in-person training. The Wise Friends Network is here to help fill the gaps and provide the supplemental learning you need. We’re your Wise Friends on your recovery journey. Helping empower you, to help yourself.
